For adjacent residents and property owners/ The Cities of North Salt Lake, Bountiful, Centerville, and Farmington are studying the feasibility of a trail for walking, biking, and rolling that will connect our southern Davis County communities. The route is officially recognized as part of the state’s future Utah Trail Network.
The project – called the South Davis Greenway – will be a wide, paved pathway behind the curb along a series of streets with amenities such as trees, landscape, wayfinding signs, and lighting, creating a safe, comfortable north-south route among the communities as well as to downtown Salt Lake City.
The Project Team is evaluating an alignment for the Greenway, and this current potential alignment runs past your property.
The pathway is anticipated to be built entirely within the current public street right-of-way, NOT encroaching on your property.
Once built, the Greenway may impact the on-street parking in front of your property, may run in front of your driveway, and may reconfigure your sidewalk, park strip, trees and landscape and other utilities and amenities.
The Greenway will provide new transportation choices to South Davis County’s downtowns and community destinations, link to mountain and river trails, and provide great recreational opportunities.

The South Davis Greenway Feasibility Study will define a route alignment for the Greenway, its initial look and feel, and strategies for building it. The study will run from winter through summer 2026 and will emerge with a preferred route and concept plan that the four partner cities can seek funding for further planning, design, and construction.
